Four New Girls Plus One!

Dear Sarah,

There's a lot of talk and commotion happening over here as the girls for the next few months are being revealed! I bring you dollies for August, September and October!

MELOMELOMEW
(FORMULATIONS - IS DRUNK)

First, for August, the darling and beautiful Melomelomew, who I still desperately want, but I've bought two girls this month already. (Oops.)

Tralalala, don't mind me, I have to check your petunias.

Why are you wearing an apron? Do you make sandwiches?

She is irresistible, I really think I need to save for her!

I actually had the English description here, but I have to put the Google Chrome Japanese to English translation because it's too funny.

Formulations - is drunk, ♪ is the first kitten costume midi Bryce
The all-in-one white fluffy fur, has a long tail.
Blue × white striped apron dress is crisp suits.
Formulations - drunk love cute things! favorite dress with a button and ribbon motif, such as the race of the Heart in the parts of the apron dress
Hat with cat ears is, of course. Charm point is the inside of the ear, also has become pink polka dots adorable × white.
Hair color is a pale mint green, hair style is long hair loose curl up with a long ass bangs.

Gurl got them long ass bangs.

You can find the English HERE.

PICKLE WINKLE

The first girl for September is 'Pickle' and her dance troupe 'Winkle'? I still think those are very odd names, but she has a rockin' wardrobe and I love that little hair stripe. And jumpsuit. Can I just get her stock clothes and scalp, will CWC let me do that?

Grunge chic.
I want your wardrobe!
Is she running from herself, or do all members of Winkle look exactly the same?

Anyway, I do like her, and I think she's definitely a Sarah doll.

SLOW NIMES
(THROW KNIVES)

Finally, for October, we have Slow Nimes.

"No matter what the situation I promise myself to take life each day at a time and to cherish the hours in it. I take my time, to taste the food I eat.
I walk slowly to see the beauty around me.
I am Slow Nimes and I stick to my philosophy of a slow lifestyle."

Slow Nimes is a unique girl who lives life on her terms.
She chooses to live slowly and cherish each moment of the day.
She wears a sweet beret, camisole top and polka dot pants.
Her coat has a lace collar and two kinds of lace decorating the hems to resemble a sailor's shirt.
He beret is adorned with two kinds of ribbon and lovely gold button to add to the nautical look.
She wears dark red knee socks and two toned "lace-up" style boots.

Her hairstyle is long and straight with straight bangs.
Her hair color is light brown.
She wears beige eyeshadow and rose colored lips and cheeks.
This natural make up gives her a healthy glow.
Her face type is Fairest, in a long awaited "natural" tone.

** Enjoy the design illustration for a hint of what's to come.
Please note, the final product may differ from the design image.
* Tentative Release Date: October 2012
Price: 144,90 JPY

I think she'll be cute, especially since she's an FBL, but what's up with her name. Slow? Is she lazy? Are French people stereotyped as lazy? And Nimes, is she named after the city in France? The city itself isn't even on the water:

Nimes is the red square.
And, just because, I did a little messing around with Google Maps and it's about an hour from Nimes to the Mediterranean Sea. So no idea on that part.

I think the best thing I've heard about this doll was the Google Chrome translation WoodSpriteBlythe posted on her Flickr stream. Not only do we get "Eat slowly, walk slowly, deep sleep. I want to enjoy slowly, such a relaxed time. Throw Nimes, girls have firmly your own policy, have spent one's own lifestyle." but the best line ever:  "Face type is Fairest, Fair Face Color is Death (natural skin)". Thus she has been christened Throw Knives, which I like a whole lot better.

BLYTHE X EVANGELION REI AYANAMI

And, new on the rumor trail from BlytheKingdom and the header of Junko Wong's Blog

Rei Ayanami

Blythe x Evangelion Rei Ayanami is supposed to launch by the end of 2012.

I know I'm not the only one going Evange-who? so thank goodness for Wikipedia.

Rei Ayanami is a character (and deuteragonist - coolest word ever!) from Neon Genesis Evangelion, an anime.

Here is the character Rei:

This place sucks. My hands are really big.

A better picture of the Blythe:

Where's my ship? Are you sure we parked in this volcano?

And the Rei Pullip:

!!!

As far as rumors go, the Rei Blythe will retain the shaggy blue haircut (which I am so into), her little spacesuit thing, and her 'cat ears' which is actually an interface headset.

The only anime I've ever watched was Sailor Moon, and that was only a couple of times, but I am into that hair. Granted, I do like the Pullip's hair better.

Also, in the first picture Rei Blythe has different lips! Is she really made up of random parts to be a prototype and that faceplate just happened to be carved, or are we getting a new one? I'm a little RBL-ed out, but if it's RBL with new lips I'd be fine.

BlytheKingdom thread HERE

PLUS ONE

This refers to the 11th Anniversary girl, Red Delicious. She will be getting a separate post.

Hope you can keep up with them all! I'm really excited to see them OOB.

Pickle Winkle

Dear Sarah,

Blythedoll.com is releasing final illustrations for the upcoming 2012 dolls at lightning speed! The September release is Pickle Winkle, and you better start saving now, because I know that you're going to want this little lady.

Hello! My name is Pickle.

I am a member of dance team "Winkle".

I dance with everybody everyday.

I always practice hard steps over and over again until I master it because I want to be perfect at the next stage!
Please come to cheer our "Winkle" dance team!

Pickle's fashion is monotone base coordinated with unique items.
Her clothes are great for dancing.
She can move around in any steps with her all-in-one attached with pumpkin shorts and no sleeves zipper parka.
Her fashion point is the devil horn alike hat with Pickle's team name "Winkle" printed on it.

The hat is also styled with huge pompoms on both sides.

Her knee height socks in magenta adds an accent color to her overall coordination.

She is also wearing double belt engineer boots!

Her hair style is popular bob in dark blonde with dark brown streak on her bangs.
Her eye shadow is pink brown, lips and cheeks are pink.
Her face type is Radiance and face color is cream.

The illustration is the image of the product, final production maybe slightly different.

Release date: September 2012

Retail price: 14,490 yen (tax included)

Only two things: I really wish she was an FBL, I think she'd be perfect; and second, what kind of name for a dance team is "Winkle"? But other than that, I'm looking forward to her, especially her hair and little pants! I'm also thinking a special color eyechip, that light blue forward facing.

And looks like to round out the year we'll have Francoise Ananassa, Slow Nimes, and Red Delicious, the anniversary girl.

Possible New Releases!

Dear Sarah,

Ooo, things are getting exciting now that future Blythe releases are leaking via the Internet without being officially released. But then there's a lot of conjecture and then we have to wait a while before they're out.

I was over a BlytheKingdom and since Alexis Emerald has been official released, with a lot of fanfare mind, I was wondering about new releases. I found THIS thread which linked to THIS picture, which I unfortunately can't share. It has really pixely pictures of three possible Blythes along with the names: Pickle Winkle, Melo Melo Mew, and Coco Colette. (Yes, you read that right, Pickle. Winkle.)

The following illustrations are from the Un Salon au Fund d'Un Lac blog writer who went to an exhibition and got to see the original illustrations, then redrew them for their blog. The translations are provided by BK user blythe-chan. (Because Google Translate for this page is horrible.)

Pickle Winkle

What a cutie! Has Takara/CWC ever released an "alternative" girl before? She looks like a collaboration with Tim Burton. (Wouldn't that be awesome, actually?!) Sarah, I already know you're going to have her.

From BK:

Melo Melo Mew

I'm really excited for her. Since there's been a Neo in this style (Meowsy Wowsy - I wasn't thrilled about her at first, but now I want her) and a few Petites (like Tora Unpappa), word is she's going to be a Middie! We need a Middie with fantasy hair, so I'm really looking forward to this release and future news. And the more I've seen custom Middie's the more I want one.

From BK:

  • "Her style is like Meowsy Wowsy's little sister."
  • cat costume and striped apron
  • "hair and eyes are a beautiful mint." (Mint eyes? Could be interesting. I'm guessing since only one set of eyes were mentioned, it's a Middie.)
  • "bangs again."
  • "Is it like Simply Peppermint, Enchanted Petal, or Prima Dolly Melon?" though the writer would prefer Peppermint hair.

Here's a quick comparison of the three girls mentioned. Peppermint hair would be nice, though I'm really liking Enchanted Petal's. I think Peppermint's is more of a "mint" color though.

Coco Collette

*Update: It has been confirmed Coco Collete will be the next Neo released.*

Rumor has it she's the next girl out!
"Takara Tomy has changed their factory and the next doll, Coco Collete will come from the factory that have been making the Petites for the past 10 years. They are excellent and we are excited with this move."
-Junko Wong, from an email to a fan via the Alexis Emerald fan page
This again? Didn't we just get one of these?  Rachel's Ribbon Encore? And then all the dolls similar to RaRi, and now there's another? I really should be happy, because there's a fantasy **green** haired Middie and a Neo with two colors, but I'm just not too thrilled with her. I do like the hair color, but she's been overdone. From the BK thread, people seem really excited about her, so that's always a plus.

From BK:
Even though I'm not too excited about Coco Colette, I am looking forward to seeing the official designs and releases, and will keep you updated!

Speaking of, I have some posts to do:
  1. A Review of Margo Unique Girl, which I'm rather glad I waited until she was released
  2. Factory Girls
  3. My Factory Alexis Emerald, the newest addition to my family, and a review of AlEm (not sure if this will be too separate posts)
That, and I'm getting a few hats made to add to the shop, so there's a lot of things going on over here!

Hope you're well,

♥ Jillie
